The device mirrors the actual HeartSine® samaritan® PAD so users can familiarize themselves with controls, pads access, installation of a mock Pad-Pak™ (or Trainer-Pak™) -all with authentic prompts and displays. What is a Samaritan PAD AED?   The Heartsine Technologies Company developed  an automated external defibrillator that is a portable electronic device which automatically diagnoses the potentially life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation.   Battery & electrode pads are incorporated in the innovative Pad-Pak™ (see comparisons below), and Unit: 7 year warranty.  The only knowledge required to operate it is to press the "ON" button.  Once the AED is turned on, it actually speaks to you in a computer-generated voice that guides you through the rest of the procedure.  You will be prompted to place a set of adhesive electrode pads on the victim's bare chest and. The AED will then begin to automatically analyze the person's ECG rhythm to determine if a shock is required.  It is critical that no contact be made with the person while the AED is analyzing the ECG.  If the  AED determines that a shock is needed, it informs.  The samaritan PAD features easy-to understand visual and oral prompts that guide a user through the process. Two-button operation. Only two buttons, ON and SHOCK, are required, providing straightforward operation. Always ready. A System Status Ready Indicator flashes to show that the complete system is operational and ready for use. Device automatically runs self check each week.
